Gas Group completes the first domestic LNG storage tank space in lieu of storage bidding transaction

Recently, Gas Group LNG Company's 2023 non-winter supply period LNG tank space storage business was successfully concluded through Shanghai Oil and Gas Trading Center.

A total of 21 companies applied for this transaction, 18 were shortlisted, and after 37 fierce bids, all the 10,000 tons of LNG storage tank space storage were finally sold. This business is the first single domestic LNG tank space storage service, which is an important breakthrough in the deep integration of gas storage facilities and customers' needs, and is of great significance to improve the utilization efficiency of gas storage facilities, the market-oriented operation level of gas storage services and optimize the regionalized operation of storage facilities.



Since this year, in order to explore the establishment of a market-oriented operation mechanism for gas storage facilities, and at the same time help customers lock in LNG supplies in advance and suppress the risk of price fluctuations, the company has combined its LNG production capacity and tank space advantages, carried out research with the development idea of "market co-construction and win-win cooperation", and explored and launched the non-winter LNG storage tank space storage business on behalf of customers. In order to establish a production, supply, storage and sales synergistic development system around the market advantage radius.
