Recently, Oilfield Gas & Chemical Technology Company has carried out an in-depth technical transformation for a key technical problem in the formaldehyde plant. This transformation mainly focuses on the cooling water system of the lubricating oil station of 4 circulating fans, which effectively solves the problem of high oil temperature that has long plagued the operation of the device, and provides a solid technical guarantee for the stable operation of the whole device under high load and high temperature environment.

The circulation fans in the formaldehyde plant are one of the key pieces of equipment to ensure that the production process runs smoothly. Each of these four fans is equipped with an independent lubricating oil cooling station, which reduces the oil temperature through circulating water to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. However, as the load of the device continues to rise and the summer high temperature persists, the original cooling water system design gradually exposes its limitations, the cooling effect is not ideal, resulting in the fan operating data for a long time in the interlocking high reporting area, bringing certain hidden dangers to the safe and stable operation of the device.
 
 
Facing this challenge, the company's technicians acted quickly to comprehensively collect and analyse the circulating fan's operating data. Detailed inspection of the circulating water pipeline layout, pipe diameter, flow rate and pressure and other key parameters, found that the original use of a main pipe for the four wind turbines water supply design has obvious deficiencies. To this end, the technicians put forward a targeted transformation programme, the original water supply into two mains for the dual-line fan cooling, and the original parallel circulating water pipeline transformation, from a separate "mother pipe" lead to a dedicated pipeline.
 
 
The implementation of this transformation programme, as if the collective heating of the whole building into a dedicated line heating, greatly improving the cooling efficiency, to avoid the problem of insufficient water pressure or water temperature and affect the cooling effect. After the completion of the transformation, near the end of the circulating water lubricating oil station cooling effect is immediately visible, compared with the same period last year dropped 5 to 10 degrees. This significant temperature drop not only improved the operating temperature of the lube oil stations of the four circulating fans, but also eliminated the potential risk of the plant operating at full load and in hot weather.
