Yanchang Oil's 99.9% pure propylene product officially goes to market

(Jiangsu, China) - On the morning of May 21, a loud siren sounded at the entrance of the plant of Jiangsu Yanchang Sino-Fuel Chemical Co. With nine vehicles loaded with propylene products slowly leaving the site, it marked the first batch of excellent grade propylene products from the Yangtze River to the market, which has written a strong stroke for Yanchang Petroleum to optimize the production layout of chemical products.

Zhu Weixiang, Vice Mayor of Taixing, Zhan Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Yanchang Petroleum Group, and relevant leaders and cadres and workers of Refining and Chemical Company, CFL Energy Group, Product Distribution Company, Logistics Group, Jiangsu CFL and other units attended the inauguration ceremony.

After three years of construction and trial journey, Taixing Light Hydrocarbon Deep Processing Project (Phase I) broke through the whole process on May 13, 2023, and has been running smoothly for one week continuously. In particular, the company adopts the world's advanced process, with high yield and the output product purity up to 99.9%, and the product quality is remarkable and in the forefront, whether compared with that in the extended oil system or in the same industry.

The product is one of the basic raw materials of three major synthetic materials, not only is the main raw material for the production of polypropylene, acrylonitrile, isopropyl alcohol, acetone and propylene oxide and other chemicals, but also widely used in the production of synthetic resins, synthetic fibers, synthetic rubber and a variety of fine chemicals and other fields. At present, the company has signed more than 10 partners within a 200-kilometer radius and has achieved full digestion.

Taixing light hydrocarbon deep processing project is a collaborative project between Jiangsu and Shaanxi, and also one of the important projects for industrial structure adjustment during the 14th Five-Year Plan period of Yanchang Petroleum, carrying the important mission of Yanchang Petroleum's first "going out" strategy outside the province. The project is fully completed and put into operation, marking the further opening of a new journey to the field of fine chemicals, and will also make new contributions to the cause of collaboration between Jiangsu and Shaanxi, driving local economic development.

It is also known that before the inauguration ceremony, the trade unions of the group company and the refining and chemical company at both levels made a condolence to the front-line staff of Yanchang CFL for "sending coolness in the safe summer" and expressed warm congratulations to everyone for their success in their business ventures in other provinces.
